The main purpose of this blog is to prepare for the pending course Portal Fantasies in Children’s Fiction and Film, a version of English 312: Literature and Film that I, Prof. Charles Hatfield, will be teaching this spring for the CSU Northridge Department of English.

To learn more about the focus of the course (and this blog), check out the page titled Our Focus.

For a list of textbooks and film screenings required in the course, see the page 312 Textbooks & Films.

This course will be offered on two different schedules: either on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm (two 75-minute sessions per week), or on Wednesdays from 4:00 to 6:45 pm (one 2 hour and 45 minute section per week). The content on this blog will pertain to both classes.

Please feel free to leave comments and questions about the course here on this blog!
